After acquiring that ecu in unknown state from eBay it turned out that the only issue is depleted RTC battery.
Since warranty sticker was damaged anyway there was no reason to pay Bosch for this simple task.
It turned out that the battery was 13 years old, but the process itself was very simple due to large and solder pads.
